Glass-to-Floor Conservatories

Extremely flexible and versatile, James Oliver enables you to design a glass-to-floor conservatory to suit your lifestyle.

Glass-to-Floor, often referred to as ‘Full Height Conservatories’, have the highest ratio of glass to other materials than any other home extension which means the views they provide are spectacular. As the name suggests, glass-to-floor conservatories are transparent from top to bottom, with walls, doors and roofs all made from glass. This is only interrupted by the supporting frame, and due to the latest materials including aluminium and UPVC, this can now be made incredibly thin for minimum visual impact. For beautiful gardens that require an audience, glass rooms are the perfect choice as they provide panoramic views that are uninterrupted.

The quality of service on offer at James Oliver is always high-class...

Design - You know what you like and dislike, so just inform our designers of your wishes and they will account for them when creating a suitable design. It can be a help too if you take some measurements for us at the proposed site of the conservatory, and also a photograph. This information will inform the design.

Survey - A surveyor from James Oliver will come to visit your home so that they can take more precise measurements and also figure out where the windows and doors should be positioned.

Planning Permission - You may have to request planning permission from your local authority in order to be to build a conservatory at home, but James Oliver is happy to assist with this. We can take responsibility for the relevant paperwork and submit it on your behalf.

Installation - The only company you need to install everything relating to your new conservatory is James Oliver. We can dig the foundations, create the base, build the dwarf wall, construct the frames, and install the roofing system and glass. You can also rely on us to keep to any self-imposed schedule.

Build Process - Anyone who tells you that building a conservatory is difficult is lying. James Oliver can categorically tell you that constructing a conservatory is easier than erecting some forms of home extension, and we do it without causing any commotion.

Finishing - Although there is a stack of potential finishing touches for our conservatories, you should evaluate every single one of them before commissioning the final design. It could involve plastering internal walls, fitting electrical sockets, laying flooring and installing lighting. We clean up thoroughly too ahead of leaving you to start using the space.
