One colour should be selected for 60% of the room, a second colour should be chosen for 30% of the room and a final colour for 10% of the room.
If you choose a bright colour for dominant colour such as the walls (60% of the room), you may choose a more neutral colour for the furniture (30%) and then accessories in a brighter shade, or vice versa. The combination of bright and neutral colours will add balance to your home.
Add a pop of colour
If you don’t want to take the plunge with a bright blue sofa or bold pink wall, accessories are a great way to introduce colour to your home.

Combine colours that complement each other and stick to the scheme. Contrasting colours like blue and pink work well together but you should avoid throwing in additional statement colours.
